Center Amalipe Launches the “Beyond the Visible” Exhibition – November 5, 1:00 PM
The Amalipe Center for Inter-Ethnic Dialogue and Tolerance is pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Beyond the Visible” – part of a campaign of the same name held within the framework of the EQUIROM (Equality and Freedom from Discrimination for Roma) program, which promotes equality and inclusion. The exhibition will take place outdoors, in front of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Veliko Tarnovo, where panels displaying the photographs and stories of inspiring Roma individuals have been installed.
The opening will be live-streamed on our Facebook page, allowing our online followers to join the event virtually. As part of this experience, several featured individuals will join us via Zoom to share their thoughts and reflections on the exhibition’s theme. Among these participants are students, educational mediators, young professionals, and engaged citizens who, through their personal journeys and successes, break stereotypes and reveal a new perspective on the Roma community.
The exhibition showcases personal stories of people who have achieved significant accomplishments in education, healthcare, and public life, overcoming challenges and discrimination. These stories remind us of the importance of equal opportunities and inspire us to look “Beyond the Visible.”
This event coincides with the International Day of the Romani Language, a special day honoring the cultural heritage of the Roma community and the
importance of language for identity and tradition. Information about this celebration will also be shared, helping raise awareness about this important day.
Finally, all on-site attendees will be invited to actively participate in a surprise activity that will be revealed at the event – an interactive opportunity to engage, inspire, and be a part of change.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Join us on our Facebook page to watch live and support the drive for inclusivity and equality.

Look #BeyondVisible and be part of the change!
#BeyondVisible is a campaign of Amalipe Center, the Association of European Journalists and the Bulgarian Platform of the European Women’s Lobby. The campaign helped us meet successful people from the Roma community who told us more about their achievements, dreams, difficulties… We will meet you with them to open doors to the unknown that can help us create a more just and accepting society.
The campaign is part of the #EQUIROM (Equality and Freedom from Discrimination for Roma) program, with the financial support of the European Union and the Council of Europe. The views expressed here can in no way be taken to reflect the official position of any of these institutions.
