Educational mediators at Amalipe celebrated ROMA PRIDE – Day of Roma Pride and Culture

For the 10th consecutive year, the Amalipe Center celebrated Roma Pride – the Day of Roma Pride with a series of events that had started on October 7 and continued throughout the week. For the Amalipe Center, this is a traditional annual initiative, held in early October through a series of campaigns against discrimination and racism, in order to overcome common stereotypes and prejudices and to show the traditional Roma culture, history and traditions.

Roma Pride – the day of pride and culture, gives publicity to what remains hidden from the mass audience, shows the different side of the Roma community, which is colorful, different, festive and vast. All the successes that the Roma manage to achieve remain veiled and hidden from the negative nature that is presented to civil society. Roma Pride is a kind of way to hear the Roma voices for change, for equality, for the diversity of ethnic groups to be accepted without hatred and negative attitudes. The initiative also aims to bring together as many people from all ethnicities as possible and to raise awareness of the problems facing Roma across Europe.

Educational mediators at Amalipe, teachers, parents, students and representatives of the Amalipe Center from all regions of Bulgaria joined together with various initiatives showing the diversity of the rich Roma culture, united by the common idea that the sun shines equally for all !!

This is how the campaign was marked in places.
