On February 27, a regional training for educational mediators was held at Hotel Meridian Bolyarski in Veliko Tarnovo, bringing together mediators from the regions of Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, and Ruse. The meeting focused on the development of the Network of Educational Mediators and its role in supporting educational integration.

Particular emphasis was placed on the benefits of participating in the Network of Educational Mediators, including opportunities for professional support, exchange of experience, and joint actions at both local and national levels.

During the thematic session “Europe as a Resource for the Development of Bulgaria and the Roma Community,” participants discussed the core values of the European Union and how these values can be used as a tool for the development of local communities. Special attention was given to ways of countering anti-European rhetoric through better information, active civic engagement, and work with young people.

Throughout the meeting,

mediators shared the challenges they face in their work across the region and exchanged good practices for supporting students and parents. Ideas were also discussed for organizing information and educational campaigns aimed at increasing engagement with schools and promoting European values.
