Opening event within “SASTIPE” Project: Improving Mental Health and Social Inclusion in Roma Communities
The SASTIPE project, co-funded by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HADEA), officially launches with kick-off events in Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece. The project aims to tackle mental health stigma in Roma communities and promote their social inclusion through training programs, awareness campaigns, and advocacy activities.
The kick-off event in Bulgaria will take place on 24 February 2025 in Sofia – hotel Rila from 11:00 0 12:30 pm., bringing together representatives from institutions, civil society organizations, Roma mediators, and other key stakeholders. During the event, the project’s objectives and activities will be presented, highlighting opportunities for involvement at local, national, and European levels.
The SASTIPE project represents an important step toward creating a more inclusive environment for mental health and full participation of Roma communities, trough partnerships between organizations and countries, we aim to build a sustainable framework for social impact.
The kick-off event will include:
- Presentations of the project’s main activities and goals.
- Contributions from key partners, including Amalipe Center in Bulgaria.
- Discussions on the role of Roma mediators and advocacy efforts.
The project unites organizations from Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece, aiming to create sustainable solutions to overcome mental health stigma and encourage broader participation of Roma communities in public life.
