Peer education: find resources for the new theme “Tolerance – Life is like a mirror”
On October 29, 2024, Center Amalipe organized the second online training session of the new school year for young people interested in becoming peer educators. A large number of students from different schools across the country participated via Zoom, with many joining in groups of 8-10 from a single profile.
The goal of this training was to introduce a new topic prepared for this year: “Tolerance – Life is Like a Mirror” –inspired by a campaign that Center Amalipe successfully launched years ago. Special guests Teodora Krumova and Silvia Stancheva from the Center Amalipe team shared the campaign’s story and encouraged the students to revive it in their own schools as a culminating activity after each peer training.
During the session, participants were introduced to new resources on this topic and received valuable advice on conducting peer trainings. The students also shared their thoughts and questions, making the session lively, enjoyable, and energizing for everyone.
The training not only equipped participants with knowledge and skills but also inspired them to share these insights with their peers, fostering values of empathy and mutual respect. Students who will conduct trainings on this topic are encouraged to share their impressions and photos of their activities in the “Center Amalipe – Leadership Program for Students” group.
