Students from Pazardzhik celebrated Tolerance Day with an inspiring meeting
On November 17, an inspiring meeting was held at the Vocational High School of Chemical and Food Technologies in Pazardzhik on the occasion of the Day of Tolerance. The event brought together students, teachers and guests, who together created a space for dialogue, mutual respect and sharing of personal stories.
The meeting was led by the students themselves – proactive, confident and prepared. They started the format according to the “Peers Educate Peers” model,
by presenting their perspectives and examples of how tolerance manifests itself in their daily lives.
Special guests at the event were Natalia Tsekova and Valeri Lekov, who joined as role models. With their presence and words, they encouraged young people to believe in themselves, support each other, and act courageously against stereotypes and discrimination through personal example..
The meeting included short speeches, personal sharing, and active dialogue between participants. The students showed that they have a strong voice and a desire to be drivers of change in their communities.
The finale was particularly emotional – the guests performed a short skit dedicated to tolerance and acceptance. Through it, they emphasized that every gesture of respect matters and that diversity is an asset, not an obstacle.
The event at PGHHT – Pazardzhik once again proved that when young people are given space and support, they can create strong messages and be an example for the entire community.
