US Ambassador Hero Mustafa Receives Ambassador of Roma Inclusion Award
In one of her last days as the US Ambassador to Bulgaria, H.E. Hero Mustafa received Deyan Kolev and Teodora Krumova from Amalipe Center. They presented her with an “Ambassador for Roma Inclusion” plaque for her active participation in the Ambassador Group on Roma Affairs and for her overall support for Roma equality efforts. For her part, Mr. Hero Mustafa thanked the Amalipe Center for the constant activities to raise the educational level and empower the Roma. She shared that one of the most pleasant moments of her work in Bulgaria was her participation in the celebration of Vasilitsa – the
Roma New Year (every year the US Embassy hosted students from various schools involved in the initiative “Vasilitsa – let’s restore the bridges between us”), the visits to schools and Roma neighborhoods, as well as the various conferences and advocacy forums.
She wished the Amalipe Center to continue its active work for the equality of the Roma and for the well-being of the entire Bulgarian society.
