Center Amalipe actively participates in the first day of the Tenth National Conference on Educational Integration and Inclusion
On October 22, 2025, the Tenth National Scientific and Practical Conference for the Dissemination of Good Practices in the Field of Educational Integration and Inclusion, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science, Prof. Dr. Yosif Nunev and Dr. Yanka Takeva, Chairwoman of the Bulgarian Teachers’ Union (BTU), launched in Velingrad.
Among the participants on the first day of the conference was the Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance “Amalipe”, represented by Katya Dimitrova – Regional Coordinator of the Center. She extended heartfelt congratulations to all the schools, many of which are part of the “Amalipe” network, and congratulated them for the shared good practices in the field of intercultural education.
In her speech, Katya Dimitrova emphasized that the long-standing element of the program “Every Student Can Be an Excellent Student” – “Folklore of Ethnicities” will be enriched this school year with innovative STEM elements. This new direction will allow traditional knowledge and cultural heritage to be combined with modern technologies – an inspiring example of a modern approach to education.
On behalf of the Center, she thanked the Ministry of Education and Science for the changes in the Preschool and School Education Act, aimed at desegregation and equal access to quality education. At the same time, she appealed for the restoration of the removed terms “segregation” and “desegregation” in the texts of the law, in order to maintain the focus on the real challenges facing the inclusion of every child.
In conclusion, the representative of “Amalipe” expressed his desire for the Center to join the organizers of the conference next year in order to continue working together for a more integrated, tolerant and modern educational environment.
“We believe that every student can be an excellent student when given an equal chance to unleash their potential” – a message that “Amalipe” once again shared from the heart in Velingrad.
