
Educational mediators at Amalipe celebrated the Day of Tolerance
Educational mediators at Amalipe once again celebrated the International Day for Tolerance on November 16, 2020 with campaigns in several places in the country. The events are organized by the Community Development Centers – structures of the Amalipe Center, formed in 12 municipalities, together with the local development clubs and schools participating in the educational program “Every student will be a winner”, as well as volunteers, students, citizens, activists and friends. The activities were carried out taking into account the complicated epidemic situation and in compliance with strict safety measures.

Veliko Tarnovo District
On 16.11.2020 from 11.00 – Young people and volunteers at the Amalipe Center from different cities took part in a zoom meeting, and each had the opportunity to present their own opinion on the issue – what is it like to be tolerant. As a result, an expert – Development of the local community gave a presentation on “What is tolerance”.
CRO Strazhitsa
For the day of tolerance, the Educational Mediator-Irena Mihailova distributed information materials – brochures related to the topic and made clover with the 10 golden rules of tolerance. Part of the student council of secondary school “Angel Karaliychev” in Strazhitsa, teachers and parents took part in the campaign. Also today was held an online zoom meeting in which volunteers and educational mediators took part. And the topic was “Understanding and tolerance between people.” Everyone had the opportunity to share – for him what tolerance means and give examples. As volunteers, they mentioned that tolerance is respect, acceptance and appreciation of the rich diversity of the world’s cultures.
Last but not least, the students from secondary school “Angel Karaliychev” in Strazhitsa celebrated the Day of Tolerance, together with the Student Council and some teachers who expressed a desire to participate. Students from different classes took part. Despite the difficult situation, each of them decided to send a message to everyone, through a photo and a letter with the caption: “Let’s be tolerant.” All epidemic measures were taken during the events.

Pavlikeni
On November 16, in the village of Batak, the educational mediators celebrated the International Day for Tolerance. Students from “St. St. Cyril and Methodius ”in the village of Batak. The educational mediator Stefan Stefanov together with Nikola Georgiev presented a presentation on “What is tolerance” – while at the same time there was a conversation with the students on this topic. The meeting was attended by teachers from the school, as well as the school principal Mr. Shenay Nuriev. The students also made an alley of tolerance with their drawings of tolerance. Last but not least, the mediators distributed brochures to parents and students. As a result, the tree of tolerance was made, and each of the graduates had the opportunity to write messages in the form of a sheet on the topic of tolerance. The students from the village of Batak received a gift drawing from their peers from the primary school “St. Kliment Ohridski ”in the town of Pavlikeni. All epidemic measures were taken during the events.

The Center for Community Development in the town of Antonovo celebrated this year’s campaign – the Day of Tolerance. The event was held in response to the complicated epidemic situation and in compliance with strict safety measures.
