Upcoming: webinar on “Gender mainstreaming and cross-cutting perspective in EU policies”
On November 23, 2021 at 10:30 a webinar on “Gender Mainstreaming and Cross-cutting Perspectives in EU Policies” will be held, organized by the Bulgarian Platform for the European Women’s Lobby, funded by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, which took place through the Zoom platform. The virtual host of the event was Amalipe.
Special guests and commentators are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexey Pamporov (Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at BAS), Iliana Balabanova (Bulgarian Platform – EWL) and Misho Grablev (GA Foundation).
The meeting is a result of an initiative implemented by the Bulgarian Platform of the European Women’s Lobby with the support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Bulgaria and which is a series of meetings presenting various topics related to women, gender equality. The aim is to help reduce the sensitivity of Bulgarian society to diversity. The Strategy is a fundamental document that sets out the vision, the policy objectives, the actions to make concrete progress on equality, while providing guidance to all Member States.
Other goals of the webinar include:
- disseminating the 2020-2025 Gender Equality Strategy to as many institutions and organizations as possible;
- raising awareness of the various areas of gender equality;
- to acquaint and provoke active participation of institutions and organizations, with a special focus on the media, in order to engage them in the implementation and achievement of the objectives of the EU Strategy.
